Maison established the project’s spatial and architectural direction from the outset, defining both facade and interior development.

Context
A fully custom landed home, initially aligned with conventional open-plan planning and facade-first design.
Tension
The default approach prioritised openness and external expression, but lacked clarity in proportion, spatial hierarchy and how the house would be experienced from within.
Maison Direction
Maison redefined the project from the inside out, rejecting open-plan living in favour of a structured sequence of rooms. The design is defined by proportion, alignment and progression, where each space is considered in relation to the next.
